When the Perfect Blue Leggings Aren’t Actually Perfect

I love LuLaRoe® leggings. I love how soft and stretchy and comfy all over they are. Generally speaking, the only objection I usually have to them are the colors and patterns that tend to be muddy and sometimes quite odd. My wardrobe is sunshiny, bright, and flowery, so you can picture the disconnect.

Imagine my delight when I came across a [unicorn IMHO] pair of LuLaRoe® leggings that were a solid light blue. I knew instantly they would match practically everything in my closet! I snatched them up and sped home, to find out YES! They DID match everything in my closet.

Then I tried them on.

They were too big. Too something. They looked terrible. I felt yucky.

But they matched everything in my closet and I couldn’t bear to to get rid of them. So on the shelf they sat, for over a year. Maybe I thought they would magically shrink over time?

Finally I made the decision either wear them or get rid of them. Or, decide they didn’t actually look as awful as I thought. So for several weeks I wore the imperfectly blue leggings. ALOT.

I got really tired of wearing them so I just took photos of outfits I could create.

Sometimes you have to take it on the chin, when the perfect shirt, pants, curtains, or leggings just don’t work. The leggings went back to Goodwill, where I’m sure someone taller with better knees than me is very grateful.

Can you share an item you loved but couldn’t make work in your closet or home? What did you do?

Hugs, Pam
