A Sign of Spring: Dresses

Tangerine Tea:

Howdy! Tangerine Tea here, and I am flying solo this week while Winter Bee is on vacation (much deserved, I may add).

I absolutely LOVE dresses! I haven’t always loved them. Growing up, I usually only wore dresses or skirts on special occasions. Heck, I work purple jeans to my eighth grade dance. Now as an adult, I love putting a dress on, especially this time of year because it means warm weather is here to stay. At least for a few months.

Dresses come in so many varieties and there are so many ways dresses can be styled. You can add any covering really; a vest, a cardigan, even a blazer! Here are a few of my favorites dresses.

The Dresses:

First is one of my most recent dress purchases, which Pam totally talked me into getting! I do not usually got for dresses that are pretty straight, but this one is so cute!! I had been looking for a dress like this for awhile and can’t believe Goodwill had one in my size! (Please ignore the socks and the tag, I tried it on as soon as I got home!)

Second up is a very casual dress. Yes, I went through a LuLa Roe phase. Something to know about me is I am a HUGE Disney fan. So here is my LuLa Roe Donald Duck dress! I love wearing this dress to hang out, louge around the house in, and I have even worn it to Disney World.

This dress is more for the fall, but with some added flare. I found this fringe vest and it goes perfectly with the shades of brown in the flowers. 10/10 love this combo.

This was a panic buy. I am going to a wedding this weekend and had bought a different dress for the occasion, but last week decided I needed something more *formal.* I have never bought clothes off Amazon, so I was pleasently surprised when this dress was true to the photos AND was made for me. I’m obsessed!

Lastly, solid color dress it truly the ost versitile. And it has pockets!!! Yellow is my favorite color, so when I saw a yellow dress with pockets, I just had to have it. Not only does his cardigan’s mix of green and yellow goes well with this dress, but the jean jacket also makes a come back to show that you really can where a solid color dress with anything! Both styles look super cute!

Additional Notes:

Most of the time, I still wear bike shorts under my dresses. They add that extra comfort and coverage just in case something happened. Plus, it feels better getting in and out of the car.

The key is to find the right fit to your body shape, as well as a good length. Comfort is a high point, too!

These are just the dresses currently in my closet. Summer dresses blog coming this summer!
