Hey y’all! While I take a break from wedding things, I wanted to share an absolute fashion miracle that happened to me this week!
First some back story: I grew up in the prime of Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs of course). The summer before 3rd grade, The Cheetah Girls premiered on Disney Channel and at the time it was the most *ICONIC* movie of my childhood. This is all very important information, trust me.
Also when I was in third grade, I obtained a pair of slip on shoes that were blue cheetah print. They were fuzzy, too. I loved those shoes so much I wore them until there where hole in the soles.
A month or so ago, I suddenly remembered these shoes that I loved so much. I just HAD to get a pair in an adult size. Unfortunately, the younger me did not pay attention to the brand so I had no idea who made them. I started a vague search on the internet to find something close.
I soon found that blue cheetah/leopard print is… not in. From what I did find, very few shoe brands have made specifically blue cheetah print shoes in recent years. And your girl could not settle for regular brown cheetah print. I did find that vans had made blue leopard print shoes. They were laced shoes and not slip ons, but I was willing to part with that detail. I had even found a pair on eBay that I was keeping watch on. Admittedly, I forgot about the eBay listing until I received an email last Saturday about it.
This past Sunday, I went to my local Goodwill to browse. I was really looking for shoes for work, but decided to browse the glass cabinets in the front. I also collect cameras (another future post perhaps?) I did find a new camera for my collection. Then I happened to look at a different section of the glass case and I saw – BLUE. CHEETAH. PRINT. SLIP ON. SHOES!!!!!
The best fashion miracle happened this week. These shoes are textured, Keds x Kate Spade and fit me perfectly!!! I wanted to cry right there in Goodwill. I will be wearing them all summer!!
