Are we the only ones or do you just *happen* to find something good for yourself while holiday shopping? Here’s where we went and what we scored!
Winter Bee:
I’m on a mission for a pair of brown pants, and while poking about online, I came across some brown corduroy high rise pants at Old Navy. I’m trying to be more conscious of ‘fast fashion’ so I haven’t shopped at Old Navy in a few years. I do have some Old Navy jeans that have lasted really well, so I figured I’d go see if there were any in stock at the store.
No brown pants were to be found, but I did find a couple things to try on. I fell for the color on this sweater and love the graphic on the tee. I think Old Navy tees are super soft and comfy. And who doesn’t always need tights? Especially when they’re on clearance!
I follow several Instagram accounts that focus on size-inclusivity (@marielle.elizabeth and @thecatscurves are two of my fav’s) and I’ve been hearing about Old Navy being more inclusive. I’m so pleased to see in the store clothing from XS to 4-5XL. And ALL the styles! No little corner of drab grandma clothes for the fluffy ladies! Thank you Old Navy!
I’ve worn the green sweater 4 times already! And the leggings fit very well, although the navy blue ones are capri length. But I can still wear those with boots this winter.
Tangerine Tea:
I really try to *not* shop for myself while Christmas shopping. I’m semi-sad to report that shopping for others was not very successful during this trip to the mall. BUT I found something I had been looking for!
While shopping (a few week prior to this trip) for a Christmas dress to wear to all the family gathers, I thought it would be so cute to have a faux fur coat. I specifically thought a cropped coat with a dress would be adorable. I had only done a couple brief searches online, but I couldn’t find anything I loved for a price I was willing to pay.
While doing some Christmas shopping, I decided to pop into Forever21. To my surprise, on a Black Friday sale rack were cropped faux fur coats!!! I audibly said “oh my God” to myself and started to choose the color I wanted and look for my size. Keeping my green Christmas dress in mind, I decided to purchase a white coat.
I am still trying to find other outfits to wear this with and occasions to wear it to, but I am so happy I found it nonetheless.
